Your Next Assignment
Wouldn't it be great if "aspiring author" were like a job in a real office, but with management insisting that you write only the stories you care most about?
In this hypothetical, never-going-to-happen workplace scenario, your "boss" would meet with you like a creative coach would, seeking to help you fulfill your dreams and human potential by providing guidance and structure based on the agenda you both agreed on.
There's no such job that I know of, but there is a service that closely resembles the workplace structure that corporations use to produce results. Mine.
I offer 30 years of experience as a writer and editor in collaborative, deadline-driven creative environments (newspapers, magazines and communications offices). I have a deep understanding of what it takes to plan and execute projects of varying complexity. My background includes working in Hollywood and on my own screenplays, as well as writing fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry. My first book of essays, "Anxiety: A Personal History," has enjoyed multiple weeks as a Top 10 Amazon best seller in the Counselling & Psychology category.
Your Next Assignment is like having a respected manager or trusted coworker there to support you in getting the job done. Whether you write fiction or nonfiction, it's time to make real progress.
